Sugarplum Tent Company battled a late winter blast to ensure our clients had a blast of a party.
Work started the week before the event with full leveled flooring and the multiple tents were up before another stormbrought 8-10 inches of more snow! With Federal offices and schools closed, Sugarplum staff was hard at work to make sure the party went off without a hitch. Check the photos!
Sugarplum decorated the 40′ x 50′ white structure tent with burlap and terracotta fabric. The client’s theme was an elegant and yet rustic look. Black wrought iron lanterns with candles combined with amber uplighting on dimmers gave the evening a wonderful glow. Rustic barnwood vinyl flooring was laid over the plywood sub-floor and a New England plank dance floor completed the look. The 40′ x 80′ beige pool tent was decorated with vintage antique wicker and blue and green uplighting as well as lighted trees throughout.
Guests were greeted in a 20′ x 20′ reception tent with vintage barn decor along with coat racks. Sugarplum provided all decor, lighting, flooring and full heating. Susan Gage Caterers’ top account executive, Nancy Higgins, was in charge of all catering and logistics, including linens, florals and the signature cocktail, “barnstormer!”
Greeting guests poolside was steel drummer Roger Greenidge, who was followed by renowned DJ, Derek Romanoff. These talented musicians were provided by Bialek’s Music. Reston Limousine provided the mini bus to ferry guests from an area hotel to the country residence. Suburban Video and ArcherImaging recorded all the action.
As always, Sugarplum Tent Company was honored to play a key role in this special celebration and was happy to work alongside our special event partners.
